Procedure
Returning Players - Online registration for the SFMHA 2025-2026 season is mandatory

New Players – online registration is not available for new players – please contact the Registrar, Leeann Macpherson at registrar@sfmha.ca for information on how to proceed. The following items will be required:
All registrants will receive 10 calendars which can be sold for $ 5 each. Lottery calendars give the purchasers the
opportunity to win up to $ 500 with draws happening during the month of December 2025. This fundraising fee is included in the above total pricing and it allows you to sell your tickets and in essence, lower your registration cost. It is mandatory for all players to a max of 25 calendars per family.
Jersey Return and Jersey Deposits
Jerseys worn during the 2024-25 season should have been returned to your team manager/coach. Any player jerseys not returned and/or returned in damaged condition will have an $ 125 fee added to their new season registration. This fee must be paid in full in order to be in good standing before the start of the season and be eligible for tryouts.
Payment
A $ 100 deposit is required for each player registered at the U7/U9/U11 age groups and a $ 200 deposit for each player registered at U13/U15/U18 age groups, at the time of registration. The balance of all other fees are due no later than August 31, 2025.

Registration is a two-step process:
Step #1 – Register your child using the Hockey Canada online registration system (HCR). Everyone must create a new account on HCR 3.0 in order to register if they do not already have one
Step #2 – Pay your child’s deposit and or registration fee on the HCR through SportsPay (you will have options to pay by credit card, e-transfer or bank payment). You can also send an e-transfer directly to treasurer@sfmha.ca; ensure you include the players name in the message

Other Information
- In order for the players registration to be considered complete, SFMHA must receive:
- Complete payment of the registration fee (due by August 31, 2025)
- For U7, U9 or new registrant families, a member of each household to have completed the Respect in Sport Parent Program
- An additional fee of $ 40 will be charged for any NSF cheque
- Refund requests are to be submitted on the “Refund Request Form” (found at www.sfmha.ca). All refunds will be prorated less an administration fee of $ 25. Please allow 3-4 weeks for the refund to be processed.
- Families are responsible for obtaining their own financial assistance (ie Jumpstart, Champions for Kids, Open Doors, etc.) and must complete the registration process while waiting for confirmation.
- Registrations received after July 15, 2025 may be placed on a WAITING LIST and added only if there is space available
- If your child if trying out for a level of hockey not offered by our Association (ex. Kings A, AA or Cyclones AAA), they must first register online with SFMHA
- No transfer requests will be considered and/or processed until after July 31, 2025
- NEW- All team staff need to access the new vulnerable sector check (VSC) portal to confirm their VSC is in good standing or to upload one for new volunteers and those whose VSC have expired.
